General Notes: Husband - John A. McFarlin
He was born in Trumbull County, Ohio, and was educated at the public schools. In 1852 he went to California and engaged in gold mining for three years. In 1861 he purchased a farm, where he thereafer resided.
He held the offices of supervisor, school director and assessor of the township. He and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Fairview, of which he was class-leader and steward, and also a trustee.
