He was named as guardian for Baxter and James Long, sons of John Long of Drumore township, January 6, 1779, his brother John being named for two other of the children of the same decedent.

James Long was licensed by the Second Presbytery of Philadelphia, in 1763, but where he had charge of a church we have not been able to learn.
