General Notes: Husband - Jacob Stoody

He was born of German ancestry in Somerset township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and passed his youth on the home farm. When he was a young man, a family moved into the neighborhood from Maryland. He soon made the acquaintance of Andrew Long, the newcomer, for his pretty daughter Barbara was a most desirable addition to the social circle. He and Miss Long soon became warm friends, and this intimacy finally culminated in their marriage.
