General Notes: Husband - Capt. Reynold Laughlin

At an early age he commenced the study of law, to which profession he successfully gave his attention. He was always an enthusiastic military man; he was brigadier-general of the State militia for two years; at the breaking out of the Rebellion he raised Company A, 103d Regiment, gallantly leading them until he resigned on account of failing health.
