General Notes: Husband - George R. Kepple

He was born on his father's farm, where he was reared to agricultural labors. On reaching manhood he did not leave the homestead, but remained until his marriage, assisting his father in the management of the estate. In 1907 he rented the Hadley farm and after cultivating it for three years took charge for two years of the Judge John B. Steele estate. By his father's will he became the owner of the homestead and thereafter gave his whole time and attention to tilling and improving his ancestral acres. For public office Mr. Kepple had neither time nor inclination. He was for nine years or more a trustee of the Reformed Presbyterian church at Congruity, active in all its enterprises and especially interested in the work of the Sunday school.
