He landed in Philadelphia with his wife, in 1805, and came to Hickory, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where his uncle resided. He came to Brownsville, Fayette County, soon after and commenced business as a weaver in the house where Dr. J. R. Patton afterwards lived.
