General Notes: Husband - Robert Newton Nesbitt

He attended the common schools of his neighborhood and Grove City College, spending one year at the latter institution. Returning home, he began farming, coming to own the homestead farm of 180 acres in the fertile Conemaugh district. Mr. Nesbitt carried on general farming and stock raising and when occasion demanded, acted as an auctioneer.
From the time he cast his first vote he was an ardent Republican, and for eight years or more was the township auditor. He held membership in the Presbyterian Church.
