General Notes: Husband - James E. Kelly
He obtained a good education, and at the age of twenty-six commenced teaching during the winter season, while in the summer he followed farming. This he continued for eight years, and then purchased a farm in Concord town-ship, Butler County, Pennsylvania, on which he resided until 1879, when he traded it for a homestead in Clay township. The family was connected with the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, he was a Republican.
