General Notes: Husband - Paul Duane LeVier

World War II: Served with Company C, 21st Armored Infantry Battalion, 11th Armored Div., with General Patton. Overseas, Sgt. LeVier received several citations. Was in the battle of Normandy. On January 1, 1945, near Chemogue, Belgium, while under machine gun fire he administered first aid and evacuated a wounded man to a safe area, for which he received the Bronze Star. He also received the Purple Heart.
