General Notes: Husband - Nathan W. Lemmon
He was born in Fairfield township, Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, and he passed the closing years of his life in Derry township, where he took up his residence in 1858. He ever maintained his allegiance to the great basic art of agriculture and became one of the promi-nent and influential farmers of his township, while as a citizen his standing was of the highest, implying his definite hold on the confidence and regard of his fellowmen. He was a staunch Democrat in his political proclivities, but was never ambitious for public office, though he served two terms as school director.
