General Notes: Husband - James Martin

---

He came to Beaver County, Pennsylvania, in 1798. He settled on a portion of his father's estate, which he cultivated until his death.

He received the homestead and one hundred and seventy-five acres, as his portion of his father's estate; he improved the property by supplanting the old set of log buildings with a new set of brick and stone buildings.

He died aged seventy-two years.

He and his wife had twelve children; James P. was the youngest.
