He was 1st Lieut. Co. “G” 155th Pa., taught two terms of school, graduated at Rush Medical College 1866, practiced at Paris, Iowa, 1866 to 1877; at Anamosa, Iowa, 1878 to 1882; in partnership with his father later in drug busi­ness; was Mayor of Anamosa in 1907. Knight Templar, Methodist.
