The Lecrone family came to Pennsylvania about 1697, one branch settling in Franklin and York counties and another in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.

Monsieur Le Cron of Alsace-Lorraine emigrated to Poland and later to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
