Carl M. Bell
Carl M. Bell, 70, of Cooperstown RD 1 died Wednesday evening in Franklin Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Born July 18, 1913, in Cranberry, he was a son of Charles E. and Grace Moore Bell.
He lived in Cooperstown a year, having moved there from President.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and served during World War II until 1946.
He worked for Jones and Laughlin Steel Co. in Oil City, until his retirement in 1978.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Awald; two sisters, Mrs. Reda Stover of Georgia, and Mrs. James (Claire) DeWoody of Seneca; and four nieces.
There will be no calling hours and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Venango County Visiting Nurses Association.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home.
