General Notes: Husband - John Potter Jordan
He was bequeathed by Gen. James Potter, 250 acres of land "out of the lands I hold in the New Purchase in company with Timothy Pickering and his associates."
By his own will (proved Sept. 12, 1807; Centre County A/46) describing himself as a resident of Clearfield County, orders the land thus devised "on Cowenshannock, in the County of Armstrong," sold, and names his sisters, Martha Read, Mary and Margaret, brother Thomas and his father and mother as beneficiaries.
