General Notes: Husband - Samuel Johnson
He received his early education in the public schools, and then went to work on a farm. He removed later to Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and from there went to Lincolnville, Pennsylvania, in 1862, and operated a saw mill for a time, and then removed to Union City, Pennsylvania, where he took a position as a traveling salesman. He later conducted a hotel in Petroleum Center, Pennsylvania, and finally settled in Meadville, where he died. He was a Republican in politics, and held a number of town offices. He was a Presbyterian in religion.
