General Notes: Husband - Bennett Auge

At twelve years of age he joined an elder brother in business in the West Indies, and was overseer of the plantation at the time of the insurrection at San Domingo in 1791. He was in the army of defence, and left when the whites generally took refuge in the vessels, and came with his brother to the United States in 1801.
