General Notes: Husband - Daniel Ashbaugh


The Ashbaughs were early comers to Beaver township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, settling when all was practically a forest. The early settler, Daniel Ashbaugh, was among the very first to found a home in the township. He felled the trees that covered the tract and what he found a wilderness he left a cultivated farm of two hundred and eighty-eight acres. He and his wife were members of the Lutheran church.


General Notes: Wife - Mary Best


She came from Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the pioneer Best family of Clarion County.
