General Notes: Husband - John Richey
He located on a farm in Plum Township, Venango County, PA, in 1832, reducing the land to cultivation and developing the farm from its primitive state. He was road commissioner and pathmaster of the township for forty years. Politically he was first a Democrat, but later was a strong supporter of the Prohibition party. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, in which he was an elder forty years.
