General Notes: Husband - John F. Weakley
He was born on the family homestead in Slippery Rock township, Butler County, PA, was reared on the farm and received a common school education. In 1880 he opened a coal mine on his farm, and carried on mining in connection with agriculture. After purchasing the old homestead he made many improvements, and erected a new residence in 1893. He was a Prohibitionist after 1885, before which year he was a Republican. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, of Centreville, and was a member of the session.
