General Notes: Husband - Henry Knarr
He came with his parents to America at about the age of eighteen years, and helped his father to clear land and make the home. He married and
purchased 150 acres of woodland near Troutville, Pennsylvania, where he cleared a farm and erected buildings for a homestead.
Being a good German scholar, he successfully engaged in teaching in his locality for a number of terms.
He was eighteen years of age when the family reached Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He bought 100 acres of land near Luthersburg, for three dollars an acre, and to this first purchase later added more land and continued to live there during the rest of his life.
General Notes: Wife - Catharine Marshall
