General Notes: Husband - George R. Jackson
He passed the years of his childhood on his father's farm near Crabtree, Salem township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. As a child he attended the local public schools and there gained his education. Upon completing his studies he took up farming as an occupation and continued therein for practically his entire life. Upon the death of his father he became the owner of the latter's farm, situated north of Delmont. Upon this farm he carried on general agricultural operations for a great number of years and with a high degree of success.
He served his fellow-citizens as a member of the school board and in other important capacities. He was a staunch Presbyterian in his religious belief and attended the church of that denomination at Delmont. He was eventually elected elder of the church and held that office for a number of years before his death.
