He lived in Buttenhousen, Wurtemberg, Germany, and died in the early infancy of his grandson, Hermann Julius Klingler. It is known that he had one sister, and that he was twice married. The first union resulted in two daughters and one son, John Jacob Klingler. [HBC 1895, 738]
