General Notes: Husband - Thomas Bevington
The Bevingtons came to western Pennsylvania prior to the Revolution, the early settler serving as a soldier in that struggle. The earliest record found of this branch is of Thomas Bevington, a woodsman and farmer of Beaver County. He served in the Indian Wars and in the Revolution, three years of his service during the latter war being as a spy under Captain Brady. He also served three years under the immediate command of General Washington. After his marriage he bought a farm in Ohio township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he and his wife lived and reared their family of six sons and four daughters.
