General Notes: Husband - William Kinkead


He received his education in the schools of his native county. At sixteen years of age be became a clerk in a store and thereafter was engaged in the mercantile business, excepting two years which he spent on the Pennsylvania canal. He was at New Alexandria, Pennsylvania for twenty years as a clerk and merchant. From there he went to Penn, conducted a store for one year and then (1874) moved to Livermore where he engaged in a general mercantile business.
He was a Republican and a member of Livermore Presbyterian church.
