General Notes: Husband - George King

---

He attended the common schools, and was brought up at farm labor. In 1869 he and his brother, Newark, engaged in furniture and undertaking business; six years later Newark withdrew, and George conducted the business thereafter. He was a Democrat, and he and his wife belonged to the First Presbyterian Church.
