General Notes: Husband - Robert Moody

---

The immigrant ancestor of this branch of the Moody family, he was born in Scotland. Early in life he was apprenticed to learn the trade of sail making. Upon his arrival in America he located in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, about ninety miles north of Philadelphia, and there engaged in farming. He gave his political support to the Whig party, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
