Indiana Co, PA

He was a carpenter by trade, but followed farming. He was a republican, like his father before him, and when the Civil War broke out he enlisted in Thompson's Independent Battery, but after two years and three months' active service was discharged on account of ill health. He was a member of the G. A. R.
