General Notes: Husband - John Mateer
The Mateers were some of the earliest settlers on the north side of the Conedoguinet creek in East Pennsboro, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in the same neighborhood that the Hustons lived. Afterward they removed to the part of Allen township that later became Lower Allen. John Mateer was a captain in the war of the Revolution.
