General Notes: Husband - Philip Kiester
He was a pioneer of the southeastern part of Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, PA, coming there in 1822, when the entire neighborhood was a wilderness.
He served in the war of 1812. He was married in his native county and in 1818 came to Butler county and purchased 200 acres of land in Slippery Rock township, where his son Paul later resided. There he spent the remaining years of his life, clearing and improving his land. He was a Republican in politics, and in religion, an adherent of the Presbyterian church.
