General Notes: Husband - William Hunter

He received a meager education in the country schools. When just thirteen years of age he drove a four horse team\emdash also assisting with various duties of the farm. He married and, purchasing a place, began to follow farming.
He was a quiet, undemonstrative man, and was a radical Democrat, though never taking a very active part in politics. He and his wife were members of the Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church. [CBRWC, 1166]

Shortly after his parents reached Washington County, Pennsylvania, their son, William Hunter, was born and he spent his entire life in Washington County.
