General Notes: Husband - Joseph P. Clark
He spent his boyhood days at home attending school and assisting the father in the development of his mill and wool business. After his marriage, at the age of twenty-two, he engaged in more independent ventures, but still followed the general lines of milling and farming up to 1866. In that year he established a contracting business in brick and stone work and remained thus engaged until 1893, when he retired from active work altogether. In politics Mr. Clark was a stanch Democrat, but neither aspired to nor held public office.
