General Notes: Husband - James J. Hunter
He was born in Buffalo township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and came with his father's family to East Finley township, where he began life for himself in 1843, doing farm work for others, and cropping on his father's place. After his first marriage (in 1845) he resided for some time in West Finley township, then came to East Finley township, but in a short time returned to his former home, until finally, in 1861, he moved back to East Finley township where he then remained. In politics he was a worker in the ranks of the Republican party. In religious connection he and his wife were members of the United Presbyterian Church at Dog Wood Grove, East Finley township.
