General Notes: Husband - John McClure
He was born on his father's farm and attended the log schools of that period, and always resided on the family homestead. He served as county commissioner for one term, and was school director, supervisor, etc., of Perry Township, and justice of the peace for twenty years. He was an elder in the Hadley Presbyterian Church, and voted the Republican ticket. [HMC 1888, 1125]
