General Notes: Husband - David Hummel
He learned the trade of a saddler, and afterwards established himself in business in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was quite prominent in public affairs; was deputy sheriff under Melchior Rahm; served as treasurer of the county of Dauphin from 1821 to 1824, and county commissioner from 1839 to 1841.
