General Notes: Husband - John Humes

---

He was born on the family homestead farm in Export, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a member and elder of the Presbyterian church, and a Democrat in politics.

During the latter part of his life he was a Presbyterian and became an elder in that church February 24, 1839.

He was in the War of 1812, and was wounded in the leg.
