General Notes: Husband - Abram Elliott

He was reared on his father's farm, and his only education was received at the district schools. At the age of seventeen he learned the trade of cabinet-maker, at which he worked at Washington, West Alexander, Monongahela City and other places, for a number of years. For the next twenty-five years or more, however, he gave his attention to his farm, where he was reared.
Though not an active politician, Mr. Elliott was a strict adherent to the principles of the Democratic party.
