General Notes: Husband - Edward H. Kemp
He received a common school education, and later worked with his father at the brick mason trade in and about Greensburg, Pennsylvania, for several years. Subsequently his father established a dairy business one mile outside of the borough of Greensburg, and Edward H. remained with him until his father died, when he assumed full charge of the farm. When the estate was finally settled Edward H. purchased the place from the other heirs, and continued to operate the Kemp dairy farm, which consisted of thirty acres of well improved land. He had a herd of twenty cows, and in addition, purchased considerable milk from his neighbors with which he supplied his Greensburg trade.
Mr. Kemp was a member of the First Reformed Church of Greensburg. He was a Democrat in politics.
