He died in 1898. [VCCR5, 81]
He came to Venango County, PA, in 1817. He received his educa­tion at the schools of the neighborhood, and then engaged in farming on his own account, when that part of Rockland township was still a wilderness. He was identified with the schools of the township, both as teacher and director, served as justice of the peace, and as county commissioner. [HVC 1890, 1121]
