He graduated from the High School and then attended the Western University at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For some years he was identified with his brother, Harry B. Snaman, in business.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Fraternally he was an Elk, a past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a member also of the Catholic Mutual Benefit Association and of the Young Men's Association.
