General Notes: Husband - William Hough
He grew to manhood on his father's farm in South Huntington Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He devoted his whole life to agriculture, living in Fayette County for some years prior to coming to Washington. In politics he was a stanch Democrat. He served a number of times in township offices in Canton Township, being road supervisor and road commissioner, and was much interested in the good roads problem, during his official terms giving this important matter his closest attention.
He and his family were affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.
