He was a farmer.

Obit: Thomas Yeater was born at Lilyville, Mifflin County, Pa. February 12, 1833, and died at his home near Dempseytown, Oakland, August 7, 1905, aged 72 years, 5 months, and 6 days.
In 1852 he was married to Margaret Kean. She died in 1855. One daughter blessed this union.
The deceased came to Venango County in 1857, and in 1858 he was married to Miss Sarah E. Beatty. This union was blessed with eight children, six girls and two boys. Those surviving him are his wife, one sister, Mrs. John Kean; four daughters: Mrs. H. M. Turner, Mrs. Adda Richey, Mrs. Ella Stroup, Miss Lou Yeater, and one son, John Yeater.
The funeral services were held from Bethel Church Wednesday, August 9, conducted by Rev. S. V. Carmony. Interment in Bethel Cemetery.
