General Notes: Husband - Ambrose M. Karns

He was born on the family homestead, and received his education in the common schools. At the age of twenty he began farming for himself in Ligonier, and remained there for many years, his father making his home with him during the latter years of his life. Mr. Karns made a specialty of the dairy business, disposing of his products daily in the Ligonier market. He was a Republican, and both he and his wife and three oldest daughters were members of the Lutheran church of Ligonier.
