General Notes: Husband - John M. Rickenbrode
He was brought up and always lived on a farm, and his life as a farmer was remarkably successful. He commenced life a poor boy, working on the farm during
season, cutting wood during the winter, and at the cobbler’s bench during evenings.
By earnest, patient toil, he amassed a fortune. He was a prominent member of the
Lutheran Church.
