General Notes: Husband - George Sober

He was the descendant of German ancestors and a resident of Northampton County, Pennsylvania, whence he came in 1798 to Westmoreland County. He purchased three hundred and twenty-five acres of land in Allegheny township, and turned his attention to agriculture, having formerly followed the carpenter's trade.
He and his wife were the parents of four children, three daughters and one son.
