He was a member of the firm of Hopper Bros., at Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He was educated in the public schools and Oakdale Academy. He was associated formerly with his brother, James G. Hopper, in business at Bridgeville, and accompanied his two brothers, James G. and Arthur J., to Canonsburg, in 1904.
