General Notes: Husband - George Hoon

He spent the active years of his life as a farmer in Ligonier township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, but during a few later years held the position of stable boss with the Marietta Coal Company. He was a Democrat, and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church. Throughout the entire length of the Civil War he served in the Union army.
