General Notes: Husband - George L. Johnson
He first attended school in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, later entered Jefferson Academy there, and subsequently was a student in Washington and Jefferson College at Washington, completing his school attendance in 1899. For the seven following years he was engaged in the furniture business with the firm of Thomas & Co., at Pittsburgh, after which he was interested in the real estate business at Canonsburg, where the family resided beginning in 1893. He handled lots and made investments, doing a regular real estate and mortgage business. He was a member of the Young Men's Tariff Club, of Pittsburgh. He took no very active interest in politics, but voted with the Republican party. In religion he was a United Presbyterian.
