General Notes: Husband - Dr. Phineas Jenks
He practised medicine in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, for nearly fifty years. He was a student of the celebrated Dr. Benjamin Rush. He was a member of the Pennsylvania constitutional convention of 1837-8, and for several years a member of the legislature. He was also one of the founders of St. Luke's Episcopal church in Newtown.
