General Notes: Husband - Hon. Aaron S. Arnold
He was a native of Chenango County, New York, and came to Smethport, McKean County, Pennsylvania, about 1832, where he was engaged in business as a dealer in general merchandise until his removal to Port Allegany in 1836. He was one of the prominent and able men of McKean county, and his business career was one of uninterrupted success. He was honored by being made a member of the legislature, and was also associate judge of the county, and to him the citizens of Port Allegany were largely indebted for the proud position it occupied among its sister boroughs of the McKean County.
